Robert Austin is now performing stand-up magic comedy shows for banquets, corporate clients, schools, museums and performing arts centers only. We no longer offer animals in our shows. Each show has magic, mentalism, escapes and audience participation. We can still suspend someone in mid air and saw someone in half. We no longer offer large illusions. We do not perform in people’s homes.
Robert has been seen on national television including USA UP All Night and Live with Regis. As an actor he has also appeared on Law And Order, Law And Order: Trial By Jury and The Jury. In Films, He Has Appeared In Spider Man II, Taxi, Just My Luck, The Interpreter & The Taking Of Pelham 123.

March 7, 2011Robert Austin was marvelous from start to finish. He was willing to accomodate my request to teach the children magic tricks. He was unphased by the fact that the party size as originally contracted (by me) had doubled! On the day of the party he showed up early and set up with his assistant. He captivated the crowd (ages 5-11 plus parents and grandparents) with his magic- Everyone loved the show, the tricks were varied, his whole show had been tailored for our group. The kids were wowed, and he made everyone there smile! He even stayed late to teach some extra tricks to my son. It was a fantastic experience, and I would recommend him to anyone!

February 19, 2011I hired Austin Magic for my husband's surprise 60th birthday party. The Brookville Country Club was transformed into a casino, with a dance club, and a fabulous buffet feast. Yet my guests have been calling for the past two days to rave about how they were mystified by your talent. Over and over, I heard “How did he do that?” I especially liked the way you mingled with my guests, and brought the magic to them in such a personal way.
Normally the host doesn’t get to enjoy the party, finding it difficult to switch from preparation to relaxation. At a surprise party, it’s even worse because you arrive a half hour after your guests and the entertainment that you hired. So it was very important that I felt confident that you would be prompt, responsible, tasteful and entertaining. If our many calls before the event were trying, you gave no hint of anything but being a very likeable and understanding person. It instilled the confidence in your professionalism that made hiring you an easy choice.

October 26, 2010Mr. Austin performed two shows for us at our corporate convention. The first day he was the MC and comedy stand-up comedian for our evening dinner and awards show. He was extremely funny and believe it or not, he has a great singing voice too. The next day for our gala, he performed a large illusion show with beautiful assistants in different costumes and some mind blowing illusions. People were talking about it all evening long. I highly reccommend him and would definitely hire him again. Everyone from his staff were really nice too.

Live doves magically appear and then change into a bunny rabbit. An audience member will be suspended in mid-air. Someone from the audience will be sawed in half. Larger shows feature beautiful costumes great music and lots of audience participation. Assistants being cut in three, vanishing of an assistant's middle, placing an assistant in a small temple and ten swords put through it and she disappears, making an assistant float in the air and then vanish right in mid air and much,much more!!!
Robert Austin has been performing his magic for over 20 years. He is a member of the professional entertainers union, the American Guild of Variety Artists an AFL-CIO union . He is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actor's Equity. He has also been a member of the prestigious Magic Castle. As an actor, he has appeared in regional and touring theatre, on national television and in movies.
Robert offers four magic shows and also does walk-a-round magic. He performs a comedy stand-up magic act, a comedy children's show, a small illusion show and a large illusion show. In his small illusion show, he produces and vanishes live animals, saws someone in half and suspends someone in mid-air! In his large illusion show, there are beautiful costumes, assistants float in the air and then disappear, magically appear, magically disappear, get sawed in half or in thirds, have their middle vanish and avoid getting killed by eight sharp swords!
Smaller shows can be presented almost anywhere. Larger shows are usually performed on large stages, usually theaters.
There are many tricks that we do, too long for a list. What we can say is that we have live animals and large illusions
